40 years ago today, Neil Postman published Amusing Ourselves to Death.

There are many who may never have an encounter with an erudite and prescient and beautiful thinker through words on the page, a tragic casualty in Postman’s analysis, and may never be jarred from their way of life because of the incredible violence done to their soul with language and metaphor and history.

I count myself providentially lucky to have found Neil Postman.

So the best thing I can do as a writer and popularizer of brilliant work is to share a pathway to your next encounter...
